Children in Bullock County are taking part in a special reading and enrichment program this summer. The Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School strives to make a huge impact in the lives of the children–who they call scholars–who attend the yearly program.

Bullock County Board of Education’s Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School (CDFFS) Executive Director Gloria Batts says, “This is an empowering program designed to reach kids and instill in them a love of reading.”
