Dianne Jackson and her two teenage grandchildren were traveling towards Union Springs from the Bread Tray Hill community on Saturday, May 13, 2023 on Highway 223 when her black Chevy Tahoe veered off the road just past County Road 22.

Twentieth Century Book Club Meets

Members of the Twentieth Century Book Club met on May 9 at FPH Bakery. No is an acronym for Next Opportunity.

Therefore, the word No doesn’t offend me; it pushes me to do more, to do better to be greater.

BC Commission Chairman holds celebration luncheon

The COVID-19 pandemic put a hold on many events, one being the annual “Older Americans Month Celebration and Luncheon” that is held every May and is sponsored by Bullock County Chairman, Alonza Ellis, Jr. This event is also held in Troy with surrounding counties included in the festivities, however, in 2009 Chairman Ellis decided he wanted to do something for Bullock County alone.
